Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
This ministry welcomes all those interested in learning more about the Catholic faith and its traditions. It provides a welcoming environment to come together as Catholics, sharing scripture, instruction and prayer. This ministry also prepares adults seeking Baptism in the Catholic Church or need catechesis to complete their sacraments of initiation.
Religious Education
We, as parents, are called at Baptism to be the first teachers of our children in the ways of the faith. St. John offers a variety of ways to parents to fulfill this mission.
CCD (Kindergarten – 5th Grade)
St. John utilizes the curriculum program Blest Are We by RCL Benziger. This program ensures that every child and family will grow each year in greater knowledge and practice of the Catholic faith. The CCD program runs from September to May on Wednesday.
T-3 (6th Grade)
Beginning September 2012, this program is especially designed for our 6th Grade youth. This program will guide our youth to a deeper understanding of their Catholic faith through study of Holy Scripture and utilizing the Catechism of the Catholic Faith. T-3 will be offered on Wednesdays or Sundays from September – May.
Edge (7th – 8th Grade)
Edge is a Catholic Middle School youth program designed to meet the catechetical, educational, spiritual, emotional and social needs of this age group. Edge meets on Sundays at 11am from September – May.
Life Teen (9th – 12th Grade)
Life Teen is a program that provides resources and faith experiences to help lead teens closer to Christ. This is accomplished through a vibrant Eucharistic spirituality and by creating opportunities for teens to grow in their faith. Life Teen meets on Sundays at 11 am from September – May.
Sacramental Preparation
Preparation for the celebration of sacraments involves the family, community and the parish catechetical effort. Students preparing for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist or the Sacrament of Confirmation must contact the parish office for more information
Catholic Adult Formation
The purpose of the group is to gain a deeper understanding of our Faith. Depending on the group, the book’s cover a range from Bible, Sacraments, Prayer and Spirituality. The group meets on Tuesday nights from 7pm to 8:30 from September – May.
Scripture Study
Those participating in this ministry wish to grow in appreciation of the Scriptures through deeper knowledge. It is hoped to develop more vibrant faith through the study of the Sunday readings and/or an in depth study of various books of the Bible.

Ofrece apoyo para aprender más de nuestra fe a través de la Sagrada Escritura y la oración. Se requiere estar abiertos a recibir la instrucción del Espíritu Santo, a estudiar los libros de la Biblia y a compartir con nuestros semejantes.
Fellowship of Catholic Man
Our mission is to encourage and empower men to deepen their relationship with Christ, their families, their church, their community, other Catholic men and to live their faith in everyday life. This group meets on Monday at 6:30am at Buttomer Hall.

Este ministerio está enfocado en la Evangelización a través de la oración. Nuestro objetivo es honrar y adorar a Dios a través de la oración, el canto, alabanzas y adoración. También proporciona apoyo espiritual a quienes solicitan nuestras oraciones.
ENCUENTRO MATRIMONIAL MUNDIAL
Su familia entera merece el amor que mamá y papá pueden obtener de un fin de semana del EMM, para fortalecer su relación y comunicación como pareja y a la vez para tener una familia más unida. El fin de semana del EMM es un programa de 44 horas en donde las parejas pueden alejarse del trabajo, de los niños y de las tareas de la casa para concentrarse el uno en el otro, buscando que su relación crezca y sea más profunda y rica.

A.C.T.S. (Adoration, Community, Theology, Service)
An ACTS parish weekend is a 3 day, 3 night Catholic retreat presented by fellow lay parishioners. Talks and Activities focus on Adoration, Community, Theology and Service. Holy Scripture and the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church is the guide for the movement. Retreats are available for women, men and teens.
Marriage Preparation
This program is for engaged couples wishing to marry in the Catholic Church. Arrangements for marriage are to be made at least 6 months in advance. For couples with invalid marriages, preparations are also available to have their marriages “blessed” in the church.
